Ashok Leyland launches 250hp 4V engine for its modular truck range – Times of India

Ashok Leyland today launched a 250 hp 6-cylinder 4 Valve engine with premium N cabin in haulage, tractor and tipper segments. The company states that the H series engine further strengthens its AVTR portfolio by offering higher power delivery and good fuel efficiency.
The new truck range is now equipped with the H6 6-cylinder 4 valve engine with i-Gen6 technology that produces a max power of 250 hp. The front fascia of the modular truck range gets a full metal body and dual headlamps for longer visibility. Other key features include optional AC and HVAC and good storage spaces.
“The modularity of AVTR platform significantly reduces the product lead time, thereby enabling us to launch products which cater to the unique transportation requirements of our customers. This combination of H6 4V engine in AVTR trucks with premium N Cabin will deliver a better TCO advantage for our customers,” says Sanjeev Kumar, Head- MHCV of Ashok Leyland.
Recently, Ashok Leyland has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Adani Capital for financing its range of Light Commercial Vehicles. Under the financial partnership, Ashok Leyland and Adani Capital will offer “customized financial solutions for its customers in the small commercial and light commercial vehicle segment,” as per the official release.
