Ashok Leyland launches AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 4×2 tractors – Times of India


Ashok Leyland, the part of Hinduja Group, today launched its AVTR 4420 with 43.5T GCW and AVTR 4220 with 41.5T GCW in the 4X2 tractor segment. With this launch, the company became the first Indian OEM to offer tractors with 41.5T and 43.5T GCW in two-axle configuration, as mentioned in the official release.
The newly-launched Ashok Leyland AVTR 4220 and AVTR 4420 tractors get 4 cabin options, including Cowl, M Cabin, U Cabin and N Cabin (Sleeper Cabins). Powering the tractors is a 6-cylinder H6 engine with i-Gen6 technology that offers high fluid efficiency and low DEF consumption. These tractors have been optimised as per Indian climate conditions, the company states.
“The modular platform of Ashok Leyland enables us to deliver custom-tailored products to cater the needs of every customer. The high GCW of AVTR 4220 and 4420 tractors permits customers to carry denser loads, thus delivering superior fuel efficiency and better TCO advantage. The launch of these new AVTR models is another testimony of our philosophy of ‘Aapki Jeet – Hamari Jeet’. In June 2022, Ashok Leyland registered a 130% YoY growth with 13,469 domestic unit sales compared to 5,851 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Moreover, the company recently signed a financing partnership with Adani Capital for its small and light commercial vehicle offerings. Under the agreement, the will offer customized EMI plans to the customers and leverage technology to enhance loaning procedures.
