Check petrol and diesel prices in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and other cities on July 29 – Times of India

Petrol and diesel prices on Friday July 29, held steady by Oil Marketing Companies again, except in Maharashtra. On July 15, the Government of Maharashtra announced a Value-Added Tax (VAT) cut on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 per litre and Rs 3 per litre, respectively. Fuel prices in India have remained unchanged since Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced an excise duty cut on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and on diesel by Rs 6 per litre on May 21.
Petrol price in Delhi is Rs 96.72 per litre opposed to Rs 105.41 per litre earlier, while the diesel price in Delhi today is Rs 89.62 per litre against Rs 96.67 per litre prior. Today, petrol price in Mumbai stands at Rs 106.31 per litre opposed to Rs 111.35 per litre, while the diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre from Rs 97.28 per litre prior.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) set the petrol and diesel prices daily, according to international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates. Retail fuel prices differ from state to state because of local taxes like VAT or freight charges.
Crude oil price
According to Reuters, Brent crude for September was up by 0.79 percent, at $108 a barrel, while the WTI crude was at $97.51 a barrel, up by 1.1 percent.
