Kia EV6 Electric Launch in India LIVE Updates: Price, Specifications And Much More

New Delhi: South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia will launch its first electric vehicle—Kia EV6 in India on June 2, Thursday. With outstanding features, Kia EV6 will drive in the premium EV to India via the CBU (completely built up) route, thereby it will attract hefty import duties. Kia EV6 Specifications, Price and Variants

The company will announce the price of Kia EV6 virtually via the company’s official YouTube channel at 12pm on June 2, 2022. Thought nothing has been confirmed, speculations are rife that the car may cost somewhere between 60 to 70 lakh.

Kia EV6 will have two variants in GT Line trim – RWD and AWD. The RWD (rear whel drive) variant will be cheaper than the AWD (all wheel drive) variant.

While the RWD variant can accelerate maximum output of 229 hp and 350 Nm of Torque, the AWD version features a dual motor setup with 325bhp of max power and 605Nm of peak torque posting a rather quick 0 to 100kmph acceleration time of just 5.2 seconds.

Drive Modes

From Normal, sport or Eco drive, each mode provides a significant performance change to suit the requirement along with a unique driver interface.

Ultra Fast Charging

With 800V ultra high-speed charging capability, the Kia EV6 takes as little as 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. Fully charged, EV6 offers 3.6 kW of power to run multiple devices and outside by attaching vehicle to load connector.

Colour Options

The Kia EV6 will be available in India with a choice of five exterior colours – Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, and Yacht Blue.

Kia EV6 Safety

The EV6 gets 8 airbags, including two between the seats, ABS, EBD, traction control, and forward-collision control that uses radar to detect pedestrians and cyclists and apply brakes automatically, along with ISOFIX seat anchors, blind-spot warning, and 360-degree cameras.
