Race-spec TVS Apache RR 310 clocks 201.2 km/h to become fastest Indian motorcycle at Sepang, Malaysia – Times of India


TVS had unveiled the race-spec Apache RR 310 with substantial performance and technological upgrades over its road-going counterpart just over a month ago. Built to compete in the first-ever TVS Asia One Make Championship, the race-spec RR 310 has achieved a historic landmark by becoming the first Indian race bike to cross the 200 km/h mark.

speed of 201.2 km/hr at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia during the first round of the 2022 TVS Asia One Make Championship. TVS has made substantial updates to provide optimum racetrack performance. It gets a 312 cc DOHC four-valve liquid-cooled engine which TVS claims has a 38% higher power output than the road-legal TVS Apache RR 310.

Other additions include forged pistons, titanium valves and HLHD Cams, RAM air intake system to boost top speed, carbon fibre bodywork, wheels and subframe, Ohlins adjustable and custom-built suspension as well as Dunlop soft compound radial racing tyres. As of now, the road-leagal TVS Apache RR 310 is retailed at a base price of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The fully-faired sports bike makes use of a 312 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that generates 34 PS of maximum power at 9700 rpm, along with 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic front fork, coupled with a gas-assisted shock absorber at the back. The Apache RR 310 has a claimed top-speed of 160 km/h, and can sprint from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.93 seconds.
