Chennai to host TN Global Tiger Summit in October | Chennai News – Times of India

CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin on Friday announced that the Tamil Nadu government would conduct the ‘TN Global Tiger Summit‘ in Chennai in October in partnership with the Union government.
The summit would be a “fitting tribute to TN’s pioneering efforts in Tiger Conservation,” the CM tweeted.
“Tamil Nadu is home to nearly 10% of India’s tiger population with 264 tigers as per NTCA (National Tiger Conservation Authority),” he stated as part of his message on the International Tiger Day (July 29).
