Coimbatore: Passenger falls into gap between moving train and platform, saved by RPF and GRP | Coimbatore News – Times of India


COIMBATORE: The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel rescued a passenger stuck between a moving train and a platform at Coimbatore station late Thursday night.

The passenger identified as S Sivakumar of Mettur in Salem attempted to get down from the moving Kannur-Yesvantpur train at the railway station. He lost his balance and fell into the gap between the platform and the train.
The passenger was immediately rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The commuters at the railway station appreciated the cops for their swift action to rescue the passenger.
