Prayagraj: The North Central Railways have initiated a drive to find and correct anomalies in catering services at Kanpur Central. For this, inspectors from all three divisions and headquarter have been deputed to monitor passenger amenities. TTEs have also been deployed in shifts on each platform.
Public relation officer of NCR, Amit Malviya informed that Kanpur central is the most important and busy station of NCR with largest daily footfall of around 75000 passengers. The facilities are being continuously upgraded and a close watch is regularly being kept over all the services being provided to all passengers. “In order to further strengthen the monitoring over passenger amenities including catering services, a 10 day drive has been launched starting from Saturday”, he said.
Commercial inspectors, catering inspectors and ticket checking staff are being deployed for monitoring on a shiftwise basis at each platform.
Catering inspectors from all over the zone i.e from Mathura, Agra, Jhansi, Gwalior and Prayagraj and NCR headquarter have been deployed at the station in shifts of eight hours each.
“Railway administration requests all the passengers not to buy products from unauthorised vendors and always pay as per MRP or printed rate”, said the PRO.
