JAIPUR: On Sunday police arrested two on the charges of gang raping a 16-year-old while one of the accused is on the run. The girl after narrating her plight to her parents lodged a case of rape against three persons on Saturday evening at the Mathura gate police station in Bharatpur.
According to police, the family on Saturday lodged an FIR in this connection. The girl has also accused her two female friends of helping the accused.
“The girl stated that three accused identified as Mahaveer, Tarnav and Santosh who work in a restaurant raped her repeatedly in past six months. Last she was gang raped on May 4. The accused had also made videos of the rape to blackmail her to keep silent about their heinous act. Hence, the girl kept silent but narrated her plight to her mother on June 3,” said a senior police officer of Mathura gate police station while quoting the FIR on Sunday.
Police said, the girl has also alleged that she was forcefully made to take contraceptive pills to avoid pregnancy. “The girl further stated that she was also taken to Kasganj near Soron in Uttar Pradesh where she was also raped,” the officer added.
The two arrested accused have been identified as Tarnav (24) and Mahaveer (25) and the third accused Santosh (23) is on the run. On Sunday the girl was taken for the medical examination and her statements under 164 CrPC have also been recorded.
