These trains operated in Madurai division to get de-reserved coaches | Chennai News – Times of India

MADURAI: Southern Railway on Monday announced restoration of de-reserved coaches in some trains, including a few trains operated in Madurai Railway Division.
According to this arrangement, two reserved coaches of the trains will be set aside for the de-reserved passengers. For an additional fee on their counter tickets, passengers can travel in these de-reserved coaches.
The de-reservation facility that had been suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic was restored later in 24 trains in Southern Railway.
According to the statement from Madurai Railway Division, S10 and S11 coaches of No 16723 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Anantapuri Express train will be de-reserved starting October 19.
S11 coach of No 16724 Kollam – Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express will de-reserved starting October 20. These coaches will be de-reserved between Kollam and Tirunelveli.
S12 and S13 coaches of Nos 16851/16852 Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore running via Thanjavur and Kumbakonam will de-reserved between Manamadurai and Rameswaram starting October 24.
S10 and S11 coaches of No 16235 Tuticorin – Mysuru Express will be de-reserved between Madurai and Tuticorin starting October 28.
