Stranger joins in to sing with organist practicing before her recital. Watch

The viral video of a stranger joining an organist to sing a song at Salisbury Cathedral was posted on Instagram.

“Music is the universal language of mankind,” years ago American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said these words. A video posted on Instagram shows how they still ring true. The wonderful clip captures a stranger joining an organist to sing Amazing Grace. There is a chance that the video will leave you with a feeling of peace.

Anna Lapwood, the artist, took to her Instagram page to share the video. “Practising at @salisburycathedral [Salisbury Cathedral] ahead of tonight’s recital & this just happened. A tourist spontaneously started singing so I joined in. I ran downstairs to try and find him straight after but he had already gone. Whoever you were: this made my day,” she wrote while posting the video.

The video starts with someone singing the song. Upon hearing it, the artist starts playing her pipe organ. What follows next is an wonderful experience.

The video was posted a few days ago and since being shared the clip has gone viral. Till now, the clip has gathered more than 1.1 million views and the numbers are only increasing. The share has also accumulated several comments.

“Gave me shivers. As long as things like this still happen, humans have hope,” commented an Instagram user. “Wonderful!!! Love that you just caught the key and came right in,” expressed another. “I’m not crying, you are!,” posted a third. “Wow, this is amazing. To improvise without the music, finding the right key is such a skill, and you make it look easy,” wrote a fourth.
