Karisma Kapoor turns 48: Kareena Kapoor Khan wishes her sister with cute throwback pic


Karisma Kapoor turned 48 on Saturday, June 25. Her younger sister and Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan made this day special by posting an old and cute photo on Instagram.

Kareena posted a delightful childhood picture of her older sister Karisma. She captioned the post: “To the pride of our family…This is my most favourite picture of you. Aaj Sab bolo. Happy birthday to our Lolo. Just the best sister ever.”

In the comments section, Kareena’s best friend and actor Amrita Arora wrote: “Ohhh Lolo. Happy birthday to our loveliest.” Ranveer Singh posted heart emojis in the comments while Zoya Akhtar commented: “How cute. Happy birthday Lolo.”

Karisma Kapoor is the older daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is the granddaughter of renowned actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and the great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor. Her sister Kareena, cousin Ranbir Kapoor, who is the son of late actor Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, are also successful Bollywood actors just like her.

Karisma made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Prem Qaidi’ (1991). She was only a teenager when she stepped into the film industry. ’Raja Hindustani’, ‘Coolie No 1’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’, and ‘Biwi No 1’ are some of the movies where her work was appreciated and loved by fans and critics.

Karisma Kapoor’s last project was ALTBalaji’s web-series ‘Mentalhood’. This was Karisma’s first project after a seven-year-long break.

She will soon star in a movie titled ‘Brown’, which is based on a Japanese novel.
