Uttar Pradesh: 55-year-old woman beaten to death by neighbours in Pilibhit | Meerut News – Times of India

PILIBHIT: A 55-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her neighbours in Baghgulsher Khan locality, Piliphit, on Friday after an argument between two sides. Three people, including her two sons, were also injured in the incident.
The incident occurred following a heated exchange between both parties over an open window of the victims’ house facing the neighbour’s residence.
Following the incident, the critically injured Rama Saini, 55, was rushed to the district hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Her two sons and one of their friends were also injured in their attempt to rescue their mother.
An FIR has been lodged in the matter. The body has been sent for autopsy while four accused, including a woman, have been taken into police custody.
SHO of Pilibhit Kotwali police station Naresh Tyagi said that Rama Saini was assaulted after she threw bricks at a wall being constructed by the neighbours to block Rama’s window.
The SHO added, “Police have booked seven people, including three named and four unidentified persons, including two women, under IPC sections 302 (murder), 307 (murder attempt), 452 (house trespass), 323 (causing hurt) and 147 (rioting).”
Meanwhile, the victim’s husband, Bharat Saini, has accused the officer-in-charge of Ekta Sarovar police post of Pilibhit Kotwali police station, Arun Kumar and the sub-inspector, Manoj Kumar, of complete negligence in the matter despite his repeated requests for timely action.
